It was hard getting up early this morning to exercise. I wrestled with the idea of staying in bed and forgetting all about it. However, I am committed to staying fit, healthy and energetic, and part of that commitment is getting up to exercise every morning, except Sunday, and today was not Sunday. So, I got up, put on my exercise clothes, poured myself my NingXia Red cocktail, went to the "Blue Room" and logged myself into TeamBeachBody's SuperGym to say I was here to exercise, put in my ChaLEAN Extreme DVD, and did it. I challenged myself to the max, and it certainly felt good. After exercising I felt so energetic and proud that I kept my exercise "appointment", even though it was not easy.

Life is not always easy. Reaching our personal goals or business goals is not going to be always easy, but when we DECIDE on a plan of action, COMMIT to it, and stick to it, we will SUCCEED and we will be very proud of ourselves for doing that.

I'm very passionate about fitness and health. At one time in my life I was walking down the obesity path, and I knew that if I didn't change courses I'd end up with many health problems, just like some of my family members. I did not want to be obese, I did not want to have osteoporosis, diabetes, heart problems, high cholesterol, and other things I saw happening with my aunts, and uncle, and so in 1996 I made a commitment to follow a healthier lifestyle. I liked the way I started to look and feel, and I sure didn't want to go back to my old ways. Everytime I think to myself,"Why am I working so hard? Why don't I just forget it all, stay in bed in the morning and forget about exercising, forget about eating healthy and use whatever is less expensive, like everyone else does and just forget it all?", I realize it's because I want to stay fit and healthy and I want the energy I experience everyday. Then, I recommit and stay on my plan. I want to be fit, healthy and energetic for a lifetime!!

I am also a person who loves to sleep in the morning ( like a bear in winter in Canada hi hi ) and I am pleased that you are taking care of yourself. It is a smart and very good thing to do. Robin you teach physical education in a school , Pilate or gym teacher in a gym ?

I would like to also give a nice complimentary ( compliments) comment about; At one time in my life I was walking down the obesity path---difficult for me to think it was possible because you look so great--- You too Robin so you will not become jealous of one another. hi hi

Have both of you a wonderful day full of health and joy.

Oh, that getting out of bed part :) I'm struggling with that. If I could get out of bed and get my walk in first thing in the morning then I'd know I'd done it. Instead, I push it out to sometime in the afternoon and then ... life happens.

I've got to work on that!

Yes, when we get our workout done first thing in the morning, we are much more likely to get it done... It won't get pushed back because other things become a priority. ;)

Robin, it's awesome that you love NingXia Red. Do you drink it when you first wake up, and as you exercise? Do you add water to it, or drink it straight up?

Lionel, thanks for the compliment =) There are very few people that I've gotten to know in the last few years that think I was ever overweight. Many think being thin and fit just comes natural to me, when that is so far from the truth. I was pretty thin when I was little, but I started gaining weight when I became a teenager. In college I kept gaining weight, and when at a friend's wedding I tried on a dress and I was up to a size 16, I was astonished!! After college I committed to finding a way to lose weight once and for all with a better lifestyle, and so I did. I've been committed a fit and healthy lifestyle since 1996, and keep adding more things to my lifestyle as I learn about them. I teach my kids to do the same since I know that is one of the best gifts I can ever give to them... The gift of health.... so they don't face terrible health problems in their adult life.

I love this post Mirdza. I completely agree that any goal starts with a decision and making a commitment to make it happen...then of course the action to reach that goal. Congratulations on your success in your health and weight. What an amazing story. Thanks for sharing. Have a great night.

Thanks for posting this Mirdza! It reminded me why I am struggling so hard with something else in my life right now and that in the end it'll be worth it.

Cheers :-)

Your're right, Joanne! We may struggle with something right now, but if we stay committed to our goals and not give up, it is all worth it at the end.
